Conducts information systems planning engagements and software selection projects, assists with implementation planning and project management, and helps contractors evaluate the effectiveness of their existing systems. Regular speaker for CFMA chapters as well as A/E/C Systems conferences. Contributes regularly to many industry publications.
J. D. Edwards & Company - July 1995 to July 1996
Consulting Group Manager for a large international software developer. Directed implementation work within the A/E/C business unit (Eastern U.S.), managed consulting staff and client base. Primary role was helping construction and real estate clients establish the direction of their information systems and focus consulting staff and client project teams on implementing J.D. Edwards software. Supervised and mentored a staff of 14 senior consultants, staff consultants, and client managers.
FMI (Fails Management Institute) - May 1987 to July 1995
Senior Consultant and Consulting Team Leader for a leading management consulting firm in the construction industry. Primary responsibility was the management of all information systems-related projects for the firm, including system selections, strategic planning, system evaluations, and implementation planning.
Also had significant responsibility for consulting engagements and development of strategic initiatives within the firm. Involved in research and development projects to support consulting engagements. Facilitated strategic and business-planning engagements for clients.
Developed an industry-wide database that compiles the financial condition and results, organizational structure, management practices, strategic positioning, and other characteristics of construction businesses across the country.
