EXPERIENCE
Burger Consulting Group - May 2005 to Present
Doug has been working in alliance with Burger Consulting as a Senior Consultant on software selection and implementation management projects. Doug has extensive industry experience in construction systems and has specialized knowledge in the area of imaging and workflow. Doug’s hands on knowledge of the industry combined with his background working with industry software make him a valuable trusted team member and most valuable resource for BCG clients. With his years of experience, Doug has taken a leadership role on a number of BCG engagements.

DCN Information Services - 1997 to May 2005
Principal, working with construction companies around the country to develop system strategies, select software, and implement new software solutions since 1997. Focus has been on helping large and medium sized contractors install and implement enterprise-wide software systems. Project work experience includes:

  • Selection of software solutions for contractors nationwide
  • Planning and implementation of accounting/job cost software systems for over 20 companies including mechanical/electrical service organizations
  • Project management of software implementation including creation and administration of project plans
  • Review of workflow and processes to assist in identification of changes required for replacement system
  • Supervision and control of data migration including automated and balance forward methodologies

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Began career in the Public Accounting field with Arthur Young & Company and passed CPA examination in 1978.

16 years of experience working in the construction industry support services as a Chief Financial Officer. Experience includes General, Mechanical, Electrical, and Design/Build Contractors. Major roles included:

  • Selection and installation of accounting/job cost software systems while CFO at two companies
  • Development of job cost reporting methodologies with operations managers
  • Development of financial reporting strategies and strategic aspects of annual business plans
